They're native Oregonians who moved to Washington, DC, for a year as AmeriCorpsVISTA members, and are now happily in Taounate, Morocco, until April 2017.
Alexis graduated from Portland State University with a bachelor's degree in Political Science in June 2013. She was an intern for the Obama Campaign in 2012, then moved up to become a Field Organizer. She kept busy working for different nonprofits in Washington, DC, before joining Peace Corps.
Toby also went to Portland State. They met in an Interest Groups class in 2012. He graduated in August 2012 and also worked on the Obama campaign. He is a Waldorf School alum and can knit and do all sorts of crafty things. Before Peace Corps, he also worked for different nonprofits in Washington, DC.
